Project & Programme Management

Large ICT projects are expensive, complex, and high risk — especially in the public sector, where accountability to stakeholders and compliance with procurement regulations are non-negotiable. ZongeTech brings certified, experienced project and programme managers to your team, giving you the structure, discipline, and oversight needed to deliver on time, within budget, and to the quality your organisation demands.

What services we provide

Project Management Office (PMO) Setup & Support
Many organisations lack a formal structure for managing multiple ICT projects at once. We design and stand up Project Management Offices tailored to your size and operating environment. This includes defining governance processes, reporting templates, escalation paths, and performance dashboards. For smaller organisations, we can provide a shared PMO function rather than a full in-house team — giving you the structure without the full overhead.
End-to-End ICT Project Delivery
We manage the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. Our project managers are certified in PRINCE2 and PMBOK and experienced in managing multi-vendor, multi-stakeholder ICT projects across government and corporate environments. We handle scope management, scheduling, budget control, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication so your internal team can focus on their core responsibilities.
Programme Management for Multi-Project Environments
When several related projects need to be coordinated as a single programme, the level of complexity increases significantly. We provide programme-level oversight — aligning individual projects to shared goals, managing interdependencies, resolving cross-project conflicts, and reporting to executive sponsors and steering committees. Our programme managers have led strategic programmes in telecoms, banking, and national health — environments where the margin for error is very small.
Procurement & Contract Management
In South Africa's public sector, how you procure technology is as important as what you procure. We support the full procurement cycle for ICT projects — drafting terms of reference, evaluating bids, managing service level agreements, and holding vendors accountable for delivery. We ensure every procurement decision is compliant with Treasury regulations, the PFMA, and applicable supply chain policies. This protects your organisation and your project from costly disputes and audit findings.
Project Recovery & Turnaround
Some projects reach a point where they are over budget, behind schedule, or no longer producing the right outcomes. We step in to assess what went wrong, stabilise the project, and build a realistic recovery plan. Our team has experience rescuing stalled ICT projects in both government and corporate settings. We are direct about what is salvageable, what needs to change, and what it will cost to get back on track.

How we work

Discussion
We begin with a project briefing session. We meet with your sponsor, technical leads, and key stakeholders to understand the scope, constraints, and expectations. We ask hard questions upfront — about budget realism, resource availability, dependencies, and risk appetite — because it is far better to surface problems before work starts than to discover them halfway through.
Strategy
We develop a detailed project or programme plan. This covers the work breakdown structure, milestone schedule, resource plan, budget baseline, risk register, and communication plan. Everything is documented and signed off by your sponsor before execution begins. We use PRINCE2 and PMBOK frameworks as our foundation, adapted to your specific context and governance requirements.
Implementation
We manage day-to-day delivery — running project meetings, tracking progress against the plan, managing vendors, resolving issues, and keeping all stakeholders informed. We maintain a live risk register and escalate to your steering committee when decisions are needed at that level. Nothing falls through the cracks because we build tracking and accountability into the way we work from the first day.
Results
At every milestone, we measure delivery against the approved plan and report to your project sponsor and steering committee. Our status reports are written in plain language — not technical jargon — so decision-makers always have an accurate picture of where the project stands. If variances occur, we present options and recommendations rather than problems alone.
Support
After project closure, we conduct a formal lessons-learned review and hand over a complete project record — all documentation, decisions, and outcomes in a single, organised package. For clients who want ongoing support, we offer post-project advisory services to help you manage the transition into business-as-usual operations and address any issues that emerge in the early weeks after go-live.

PRICING

How We Charge

ZongeTech does not use fixed price lists. Digital transformation engagements vary widely in scope, complexity, and duration — a one-size price list would not serve you well or reflect the actual work involved.

Instead, we offer a free initial consultation to understand your needs. From there, we provide a clear, written proposal with a full breakdown of costs before any work begins. There are no hidden fees and no surprises.

We work with clients on project-based fees, milestone-based billing, and monthly advisory retainers — whichever model suits your organisation best.
